Who We Actually Are
We started solareximuno in 2019 because Australian businesses needed better ways to understand their own numbers. Not flashy dashboards or complicated software—just practical education about reading financial activity and making informed decisions.
Our Journey Started With Questions
Back when we were consulting for small manufacturers around Sydney, we noticed something odd. Business owners would have all these reports from their accountants but couldn't actually interpret what the numbers meant for day-to-day operations.
They'd ask us: "My gross margin is 34%—is that good?" or "Cash flow looks terrible this month but sales are up. What's happening?" These weren't stupid questions. They were smart people who'd never been taught how to read business activity properly.
So we stopped consulting and started teaching instead. We built courses that explain financial analysis the way real businesses actually need it—practical, specific, and immediately useful. No theoretical finance lectures. Just the stuff that helps you run your operation better.
By 2025, we've worked with over 180 Australian businesses. Some are tiny—three people in a warehouse. Others have fifty staff across multiple locations. What they share is wanting to understand their own financial activity without hiring expensive analysts.
The People Behind solareximuno
We're not a massive organization. Just two specialists who genuinely care about making financial education accessible and actually useful for Australian business owners.
Linnea Vestergaard
Director of Financial Education
Linnea spent twelve years in corporate finance before realizing she preferred teaching to spreadsheets. She developed our core curriculum and personally leads most of our intensive workshops. Her specialty is translating complex financial concepts into plain language that makes sense to non-finance people. She lives in Newtown with two rescue cats and drinks far too much coffee.
Saskia Beaumont
Lead Business Analyst
Saskia came from manufacturing operations management, which gives her a completely different perspective than typical finance trainers. She understands how production schedules, inventory decisions, and staffing choices all flow through to financial results. She builds the case studies we use in training—real scenarios from actual businesses (anonymized, obviously). Outside work, she's obsessed with competitive cycling.
What Guides Our Work
These aren't corporate values we invented for the website. They're the principles we actually follow when designing courses and working with clients.
Honest Communication
We won't promise that our courses will transform your business overnight or guarantee specific outcomes. Financial education takes time to apply properly. We focus on giving you solid skills, not making unrealistic claims.
Practical Over Theoretical
Every concept we teach gets tied to real business situations. We use actual financial statements, genuine case studies, and scenarios our clients have faced. Academic theory has its place, but our courses prioritize what works in practice.
Respect Your Time
Business owners are insanely busy. Our courses are structured so you can learn efficiently without wasting hours on filler content. We also offer flexible scheduling—autumn 2025 courses include evening options for people who can't take daytime sessions.
Ongoing Support
Learning doesn't stop when the course ends. We provide follow-up resources, answer questions for months after completion, and maintain a community where past participants can connect. You're not just buying a course—you're joining a network.
